Blogosaurs Meeting - Cancelled D:

Hey gang, you may be aware that we recently started having weekly Blogosaur Meetings on Fridays to discuss Blog related issues and to talk to dinos about how to become a Blogosaur. Well, we are going to continue to do this and have Blogosaur Meetings every Friday, EXCEPT for this week. Because of the snowball battle that is going down on Friday, Blogosaur Meetings are going to be canceled this week.

Official rules for snowball battle!

Choose your side!

Hey gang, Chief and his buddy Wally will be hanging out a lot more on Webosaurs Island and boy do they have some wacky ideas. This Friday they’ll be hosting Webosaurs very first Snowball Battle. Chief says that our accuracy is way off and if we are ever forced to defend ourselves we’re going to need to practice hitting the mark a lot more, but I just call it FUN. Whether you want to practice your accuracy or just have a blast nailing your friends with snowballs, make sure you don’t miss this awesome party this weekend.

Official Rules: Here’s how it’s going to work.

1. Chief will take all Horns + Pterrys and Wally will take all Rexxys + Stretches.

2. Horns + Pterrys will start on the right side of Hillside Canopy and Rexxys + Stretches will start on the left.

3. The Swamp Juice machine will serve as an official barrier and no one will be allowed to cross that line after we get started.

4. I will be standing in the middle as the official referee and I’ll be determining who wins each round.

5. Everyone who shows up will get a special holiday item, but special prizes will be handed out to the best players.

Webogames Results!

Well gang, WeboGames 2010 have now come and gone, wow what a ride! Wherever you are give a big three toot salute to everyone who battled it out this year and competed in WeboGames, we all know it was harder than ever to stay on Leader Boards this year, but it was worth the effort! We all met today in Prairie Pool to begin celebrating the WeboGames closing ceremonies. We paraded to the Lizard Lounge and announced the winners. We even had our very special old friend Rex drop in to congratulate the winners. Let’s all give three toots and recognize our champs!

Winter Party!

Brrrrr those are some coooooold dinos!

Hey gang, as I’m sure you all know we’re right in the middle of WeboGames 2010. I’m sure we’re all going to be playing games and trying to get to the tops of Leader Boards all weekend long, but for those of you that need a break from the competition and those of you that just want to party we’re going to be celebrating the beginning of winter and the Holiday Season in true Webosaurs style. We’ll be meeting up each day in Webo Ridge and then moving throughout the winter landscapes spreading holiday cheer. We’ll be caroling, singing holiday songs, playing games, playing winter trivia AND most importantly announcing the WeboGames leaders through the first week. That’s right, on Saturday and Sunday we’ll be announcing who is currently in the lead and then later posting them on the Blog and on the Forum. See if you’re in the lead or close to the top, then you’ll know what kind of work you have to do to earn a WeboGames Trophy. There will also be a couple of Surprise Guests throughout the weekend and we’ll be giving out past winter items in exchange for winter trivia! So stay warm and keep playing games, the end of the WeboGames will be here before you know it! See you this weekend!

Webosaurs down and party!

Hi dinos first of all webosaurs is down until 3:30PM webosaurs time for some sweet updates! And there is a sweet party on Sunday!

Stretch plays football?? What?

This Sunday at noon WST we will be hosting our very first “Guess Who?” Party. There are a lot of things going on this weekend, but on Sunday we’re encouraging you all to dress up in disguise! Take on the appearance of one of your friends, your favorite Moderator, your favorite Webosaurs Character WHOEVER. The goal is to look as differently as you normally do as possible! We’ll be partying in the Carnivorous Cavern, where it’s nice and warm at this time of year, we’ll be hanging out and trying to guess who’s behind each disguise. There will be a special surprise for the best disguise, but it’s got to hide your true identity! I’ve also been told that there will be a special guest appearance by Rexxy. Rexxy’s been MIA for the last couple of weeks, running around the Island, trying to get ready for something, for what? Who knows, Rexxy’s not talking. Keep your eyes peeled this week, if you’re lucky you might catch a glimpse of Rexxy running around and getting set up. Looking forward to an awesome weekend, don’t miss it!

Are you ready for some Trivia?!?

Hey gang, this is not exactly how he pictured it, but the idea for our Friday Party this week comes by way of Webosaurs very own Doggy, it’s a Triva Party with Pterry! Pterry threw a Mystery Party in Sub Alpine Forest a few weeks ago, he had dinos trying to figure out what was going on with the monster he had captured there and then had a blast asking trivia questions and giving out coin codes for correct answers. Well, Pterry has been stockpiling trivia questions since then, he’s got questions about feasting, he’s got questions about dinosaurs, he’s got questions about Webosaurs, but what’s even better is he’s going to allow you to post categories that you’d like him to ask questions about as comments on this blog post. So post categories that you’d like to see as trivia questions and come on down to the Voodoo Hideaway at a special early time at 12 WST for an awesome Trivia Party on Friday! Remember to post what types of questions you’d like to see and to sign up for one or both of the cool contests going on on the Blog. Game of the week! Demolition Derby!

Hey gang, we had a brief vote this morning with ModosaurProto and everyone wanted Demo Derby as this week’s game of the week! Grab some compadres and head on over to Tonto Plateau for some good old fashion demolition! Bang into your friends cars and try to destroy their vehicles before they destroy yours! Even if you lose it’s not that big of a deal, because everyone who plays this week will be rich with coins. Look out for me or any other mods because we are FIERCE competitors and will take you down! Game of the week!

I love it, you love it, we all love it… this weeks Game of the Week is Dino Dig! Put on your Paleontologist hats and grab your tools because we’re about to get down and dirty. One of the most underrated games on the island, Dino Dig is right in front of our noses whenever we’re in the Geyser. This game also gives out a boatload of coins even when it’s not Game of the Week, so if you’re trying to boost your bank account this week is the week.
We’re making Dino Dig the Game of the Week because it’s awesome, but also because some mysterious things have been happening recently on Webosaurs Island and we’re going to have to put our detective hats on to figure out the mysteries. This should be the perfect tune-up! So head on over to the Gushing Geyser and dig up some dinosaur bones, just don’t get hungry like me and gnaw on them! NOM NOM NOM.

Pet shop updates!

“Sometimes when you see an opportunity, you’ve just got to go for it!” Stokeosaurus was recently quoted as saying such after relocating his Food and Poo’d Pet Shop to the Gushing Geyser. The Putt-Putt Hut’s long time lease expired today and Stokeosaurus jumped at the opportunity to move his shop to a more profitable location, “Most dinos just know me as running my dusty Town Store, but I am actually a pretty savvy businessman, I’m just excited that everyone will get to see the great pets I have for sale.”

Stokeosaurus realized that the Understory Layer was not an ideal place to have a Pet Shop because of it’s limited accessibility. The Pet Shop will remain under the same management and continue to sell the same great pets, just with a spruced up location. Stokeosaurus is hoping to see more of his pets go to great homes with the move, “We’ve got so many rootin’ tootin’ Panda Fangs we don’t know what in tarnation to do with them all!” Be sure and stop by the Food and Poo’d Pet Shop’s new location and take home a pet today!

Party - friday!

Don't be scared Taco...

Hey Gang! We’ve had some awesome parties the last couple of Fridays, but have had some complaints from some of our international users about not being able to attend because of the late times of the parties in their time zones. To make up for this we’re going to have an awesome party this Friday at an earlier time. At 12 noon WST on Friday Pterry is going to be in the Voodoo Hideaway throwing an awesome international party. Bring your national pride and your need to get down and we’ll have an incredible time.

Pterry and I will definitely be there and there may be some other special guests dropping by. I’m also going to crank up the exchange rate (in honor of our international users) on Vine Swingin’ and Shoo Bug, so make sure you bring a bucket or a big bag to tote away all the coins you’re going to win. They’re going to be spitting out like toots out of Horns!

MVA videos Last minute reminder!

It’s been a crazy couple of weeks, but the time is finally almost upon us… As anyone who has been on Webosaurs Island recently surely knows, the Webosaurs MVAs are this Saturday! Hopefully you’ve either finished your videos or are putting the final touches on them now because Rex will now only be accepting them until the end of the day today. You can submit your videos on the Webosaurs Forum here, AND if you’re still making changes don’t forget to make those videos shine with new Dance Animations and Fossil Magic! I have a couple of killer ideas on how to include Fossil Magic myself, but they’re top secret.

Remember, there will be AMAZING trophies handed out to the best videos in several categories, so there will be more than one opportunity to take home this bad-boy.

Think Pterry could hold up that Webos Globe?

Game of the week - Wood CHop

This one has been requested a lot, and after Isa1, sKAC and CPDarkrai all commented on the Forum about it… we’re going with Wood Chop for Game of the Week!

This game is all about chopping up some prehistoric logs. Press left and right back and forth as fast as you can to bust out some chops and beat your friends. This game is multiplayer so don’t forget to bring one along… or ask a mod to play with you!

Wood Chop can be found in the Sub Alpine Forest and will be giving out loads of coins all week. Have fun dinos!

Game of the week - power lifting!

Monday, Monday, Monday… We all know what that means, it’s Game of the Week time! Because I’ve taken over the Webosaurs Blog for the week I decided to have a little Twitter/Forum vote this morning to see what game would be featured this week and the dinos have spoken! It’s going to be a Patagonian Power Lifting week! ROCK.

Webosaurs Forum coming this Tuesday! Also other update news!

Hi dinos! The Forum for Webosaurs is coming this Tuesday Yay! There is going to be heaps of stuff on it for you dino's to do!

Also dance animations will be available at the Bluggin' Beach Bunker in Jungle Beach for members in around a week!

Spike is coming along well with only needed to add to games.

Blogosaurs will begin testing Fossil Magic witch is a new feature coming later on.

Next Badges will be coming in the next few weeks with a few member ones! (Club Penguin actually kinda copied it because we heard about badges more than 2 months ago!)

Also Clothes will be finally coming for members in hopefully 3-4 weeks!

Also while we were talking to Rex, someone said "When will Rockhopper come to Webosaurs?"

Rex answers "Sorry but you won't be seeing that pirate any more.... I had a penguin steak this morning! It just looked so tender and juicy!" So if you haven't met Rockhopper on CLub Penguin thats why!!

Game of the week - Matterhorn's Big Air

Take your Webosaurs on a crazy snowboarding game by busting out fat backflips, 360s and whatever else you can bust out on the mountain. The title is no joke, you’ll catch some big air on this game in Webo Ridge. Find it to the right of the Lizard Lounge in Webo Ridge – you can also blast off from the Arcade Room!

As with all Games of the Week, it will be giving out a ton of coins so don’t forget to give it a shot. Catch some Big Air, SnowDinos!

Welcome to webosaurs contest!

Many of you who are reading this are long time players on Webosaurs Island. You’ve been here for months and have grown in your life with us, as we have grown too. This last week marks a new time on Webosaurs, as we have launched on Miniclip.com and are now seeing a stream of brand new dinos. We know that at its heart, Webosaurs will never change because at our core we have a great group of dinos who are friendly, welcoming and a whole lot of fun to be around. We hope you are as excited as we are to bring all these new peeps to join what we have been enjoying for so long.

Here are the rules:

To welcome our new friends to the Island, we are going to hold a contest of sorts. Remixz actually wrote me suggesting this, and I think it is a great idea. Here is the plan:

• Write a 2-6 sentence paragraph welcoming the new Miniclip dinos to the Island and tell what Webosaurs Island means to you.

• Post it as a comment on this blog post

• On Friday we will pick 10 of these comments to go up on the blog to welcome the new dinos. The 10 dinos who are picked will also get to play as Spike for the following 7 days.

Hey dinos! Are you ready for the big Snowball Skirmish tournament tomorrow!? Snowball Skirmish is the game of the week, so keep on practicing and earning those bonus coins.

Game of the week! Demolition Derby!

"You’ve asked for it and now it’s happening. This week’s Game of the Week is none other than the crazy destruction of Demolition Derby. Hop in your best derby car to destroy your friends. If ramming them isn’t enough, fire off with your machine gun or drop some bombs on a fool!

You can find Demolition Derby on the right side of the Tonto Plateau. If you need a break from getting blown up you can always shake a leg across the way at Dance Party. Oh yeah, and Demolition Derby usually gives out a lot of coins as it is. This week it should giving out a whole lot more."

MOOOOOO Party this saturday!

MOOOOOO! Holy COW, Cowasaurus has been all over the place this week. You never know when he’s going to show up next. Except for THIS SATURDAY when Cowasaurus throws a raging cow party at the Giant Umbrella in the Undestory Layer.

We’ll be serving grass burgers, grass salads and maybe even some grass eggrolls. Speaking of which, anyone want to volunteer to run the restaurant? Cowasaurus will be on his best behavior (although I can’t promise he won’t poop out some coin codes). You guys need to get together to make sure the restaurant is running smoothly by the time he arrives.

Hi dinos! Another Comedy Night Matinee on Webosaurs! here is what rex had to say: Ready for another comedy party? This Saturday we’re hosting a Comedy Day Matinee at the Lizard Lounge. Join your friends and the Modosaurs for two hours of hilarity. Best way to start a Saturday, if you ask me.
No theme this time… just a whole lot of crazy jokester madness. Bring your a-game as you’ll be competition with others for best joke of the day. Each dino will have a chance to go up on stage and tell one joke before letting the next dino go up. Please remember to keep off the stage until it is your turn!

Webosaurs Birthday party!

So hard to believe that it’s already been a year since Webosaurs first launched into open beta. Back then there was only a small handful of dinos, and the Island has a grown a tremendous amount since then. Not just with the people involved, but what there is to do in the world. We’re so happy to keep things going on Webosaurs Island, to spend our days with such awesome dinos, and continue adding things to this place to make it your personal playground.

To celebrate, we’re throwing a party this Saturday at 10:00 WST at Buckland’s Peak. Your favorite pals Rexxy and Horns will be there, along with other Webosaurs friends. We’re going to be doing a special little giveaway too. Bring a friend to the party and get a chance for you and your friend to win a one month membership to the site.

This is the perfect chance to invite one of your bros from school, or your neighborhood pal. Come with a friend and introduce yourselves to the party mod, who will put both of your names on the list. We’ll randomly choose two pairs of pals after the party to win memberships. In order to qualify, your friend must be a new dino on the Island.

So come in, check out the party, show your friends the Island that you’ve come to know and love, and help us celebrate this awesome occasion. Thank you for all you’ve given to Webosaurs Island, you’ve helped us build this place from the ground up. See you in the Jurassic server

Breakfast with horns this Saturday!

Ahhh... the joys of summer. No having to get up for school. Relax as much as you want… the world is yours! To celebrate the awesome lack of responsibilities that comes with summer, Horns is throwing a breakfast Friday morning. Come to the Giant Umbrella in the Jurassic server at 10:00 WST to have some delicious breakfast (volunteers for chefs needed!).

Remember, the Giant Umbrella is in the Understory Layer. You will need to unlock the Understory Layer by completing Dr. Nanosaurus’ quest in the Forest Floor. If you’re having trouble with the letters, be sure to check out the blogs on our blogroll. Many of them have guides to finding them!

Enjoy some delicious breakfast this Friday morning but don’t forget to bring some veggies for the herbivores.

Game of the week - Wooky lanes

Monday means Game of the Week. This week it means WOOKEY LANES (found at Prarie Pool) is going to be giving out way more coins that it usually does. Head over to the Prairie Pool to play the best bowling game in the virtual world! Play by yourself or get together with your friends to roll the rock ball down the lanes to annihilate those pesky pins,

As an added bonus, Rex has completely cleared the Wookey Lanes leaderboards (Sorry, ModosaurOrdo) so you can once again stake your claim as a bowling champ!

Poo Party

We’re expecting everyone to eat just a few TOO MANY veggies at our Veggie party on Thursday, so in anticipation we’re holding the strangest, smelliest, most awesome party in Webosaurs history. A Poo Party!

You heard that right, a Poo Party! It’s going to be a tootin’ good time on Webosaurs this Saturday. Bring your pets and get all those extra veggies out of their system. Warning: If you have a sensitive stomach, you might just want to skip this party!

Pterry will be in attendance and doing his best to survive the smell of dino toots and pet poo. Yuckasaurus!!! Meet at Prairie Pool on Jurassic server at 12 WST and let ‘er rip!

The votes are in and we have our first Top 5 Blogosaur blogs as voted on by YOU. It was an intense week of voting between a choice of blogs that were very hard to decide on. With so many amazing Webosaurs blogs out there, it was hard to choose. The following five blogs survived the votes to become the first top 5. Sludge’s Webosaurs Blog came in 1st and will be receiving not only a pack of ten coin codes, but a 1 month membership to give away. Percy’ Webosaurs Blog is probably the quickest updated of all the Webosaurs blog. Always searching for a new story and upcoming features, you’ll often find the most breaking news here. Percy employs a lot of authors on his blog to make sure you have the most up to date information all of the time!

Beluga is one of the oldest dinos on the Island, and is probably responsible for making Webosaurs blogging as popular as it is. Back in the day he started out with Beluga’s Webosaurs News, and recently came back with Webosaurs Insiders. High quality blogging with great resources like the Webosaurs Cheats List make this blog one to pay attention to.

Monster_man is famous for his gnarly coding skills, this dino can find any SWF file on the Island and knows almost every glitch, bug and cheat there is to know. His blog shows off his great graphics skills and even includes an awesome forum you can use. As smart as he is funny, Monster_man’s Webosaurs Blog is a great destination.

VideoGameMaster truly lives up to his name. VGM’s Webosaurs Blog is an up-and-coming power player in the Webosaurs Blogosaur scene. You can count on VGM for quality posts all of the time, and a great roster of authors who keep it updated with important things to read. While on his site, be sure to check out his growing list of Modosaur Interviews

Most importantly of all, thank you to every single Blogosaur and new bloggers out there making these awesome sites that truly grow what Webosaurs is all about. Every single one of you that takes time to write about our site is amazing and we’re so happy to have you.
